Bali 2025 - Think Pacific GTI

28th June-30th June (2am) Firstly I just want to say thank you all for the lovely messages and comments, I really appreciate it. Then just a disclaimer that I’m not sure how coherent this or any of these posts will be as I’m running on limited energy as well as patience for my own fast typing which often comes with spelling/grammar mistakes, and also somewhat struggling with inserting photos. Anyway, I'm currently writing this as I wait to take off on my plane from Singapore to Bali, after a very up and down 30ish hours of travelling, and a good few more to go. I'm actually meant to be in Bali right now, with my transit flight from 6:30am becoming a flight at 9.30pm instead. Lots of emotions experienced today - mostly smothered in disbelief that I'm even doing any of this at all - so l'll do my best to convey them accurately as I walk you through my travel to Bali. Hello all, and welcome to my first solo blog, which is very much a work in progress. I’m going to start by writing that I have no idea how I’m going to format this, whether it’ll involve posts throughout my time away or only be published when I’m back, but we’re starting the writing now so I can lay out what the plan is and what my intentions are for this experience.  I’m embarking on a trip to Bali through a volunteering internship offered by the organisation Think Pacific , in which I’ll be away for 4 weeks throughout the month of July 2025, living in a Balinese village with about 40 other students and learning about and working with the local partnered businesses of TP in the Ubud area through the Global Team Internship. With the project duration being the 29th June - 26th July, I'll be flying out the day before it begins and flying home the day it ends, as things stand.
